About Us
The Society is a registered charity founded in 1969. Our area of interest as shown in the map below covers the valleys of the Conwy (south of the town of Conwy), Lledr, Llugwy and Machno.
Our aim is to encourage the highest standards of both architecture and planning, and the preservation and improvement of all that is best in our towns, villages and countryside.

What we do
We monitor proposed developments in our area of interest.
​
We support developments that are sustainable and of a good design and oppose those that would harm the special character of our area.
​
We promote high standards of design by organising award schemes that acknowledge the significant contribution developments and projects can make to our area.
​
We also hold regular talks on subjects of local and general interest and occasionally we organise excursions.

The Society is a registered charity and Gift Aid declarations and standing orders are welcomed.
